We're closer and closer to the summer solstice (though, you'd never know given what British weather is like) and life is about to start feeling free again. Long walks, really late sunsets, an Aperol Spritz at hand and good music. We're getting giddy writing this.Here's what we've been up to recently:
Watching: 'Camden' set in London's music hub, uncovers how this vibrant area shaped the lives and careers of iconic artists. Using archival footage, interviews, and observational filming, the documentary delves into Camden's rich history. Renowned musicians share their experiences, from their first gigs to sold-out concerts, and the highs and lows of their musical journeys in Camden.Listening: Why Is Everyone a DJ? by Laundry Day. We can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something very 2000s chick-flick about it and it's on replay at LIHA HQ. The track explores the modern phenomenon of widespread DJ culture and its impact on music and nightlife, paying homage to classic punk and soft rock. We're obsessed! Last night, we actually saw En Vogue at Shoreditch House, and Whatta Man was truly epic to hear live.
Reading: So, we're currently both obsessed with The List by Yomi Adegoke. A clever and intricately plotted debut novel from the bestselling co-author of "Slay in Your Lane," delves into the dark side of social media and its impact on our closest relationships with page-turning prose.
